Landscape Management System - LmsLite 3.1

LmsLite provides an alternative, simplified, interace to the Landscape Management System Version 3.x. The LmsLite interface is designed to be used in teaching environments to examine issues of stand development in response to disturbance and management.

Lms-Lite is designed to teach forestry and stand development concepts. It comes with limited treatment and distrubance capabilties so that users can focus on the concepts instead of specifics of treatments.

Users can Grow, Regenerate, Thin, and Distrub the forest. Outputs include stand pictures, tables, and charts.

Growth is done using the appropriate growth model for the portfolio.

Regeneration can be done using a Light, Moderate, or Heavy Clearcut, Shelterwood, or SeedTree method. Regeneration call also be specified to be Light, Moderate, or Heavy.

Thinning can be Light, Moderate or Heavy and be preformed from Above, Below, or across size clases.

Disturbance can be from Wind, Ice or Fire as Light, Moderate, or Heavy intensities.
